DECT was yesterday, with VoIP the future will be CAT-iq

Due to our extensive product development experience in the telecom
business, the German Telekom AG (DTAG) asked us for support in the definition and specification of their new VoIP based DECT product line.

DTAG strategically relies consistently on VoIP technology in a “One Box for All” approach, the so called IAD (Integrated Access Device). All of these boxes will have a full DECT integration based on the new CAT-iq-standard. This new standard provides High Quality Voice for phone calls. Which will provide the end user a so far unknown experience of voice quality. In addition, CAT-iq includes a range of new features based on internet technology.

Arendi did support DTAG in this CAT-iq consulting project by doing product- and protocol specifications. During this project Arendi created several specification documents, which are now a basis for all future suppliers of CAT-iq DECT phones for DTAG.
